I have been teaching since 2010 private lessons and enjoy working one-on-one with students to create music.

I have been living and breathing music since I was born. My mom tells me that I started singing before I could form words (by 3 I was singing and walking around the house nonstop). Around that age I told my mom I wanted to learn the violin, piano, flute and guitar, and I ended up learning them in exactly that order!

However, I am also a teacher; I attended Meredith College to pursue an education degree (graduated in 2017) and have taught 3rd-8th grade in the public schools as well as Pre-K at a local daycare. I love working with children, and fostering a love of learning. My pure joy in teaching is found instructing music privately.

Why take lessons with Arielle?
Starting in 2010 I began teaching flute and piano lessons. Since then I have provided lessons for dozens of students and LOVE teaching kids as well as adults MUSIC. My methodology in teaching is perhaps different than my past teacher, but I think it is what people need most:

Not only will you work on content and theory in FABER&FABER books, you can learn to play any song your heart desires. I love Disney, pop songs, classics, Christmas music, and praise and worship. If you are interested in learning chords and lead sheet music - you found the perfect teacher. I also think that singing is super important to do while playing piano, so I encourage all my students (whether you think you have a solo voice or not) to give it a try and sing along. I guarantee you will be surprised how your voice improves over time!
